ESI is a web hosting, design and software development company in Denver, CO.

Responsible for all front-end work for client web sites, from design to template development and integration with asp.net back end systems. Used HTML, CSS and Flash to create “bulletproof” websites for clients.

  • Spearheaded development of an in-house CMS to reduce maintenance overhead of client sites
  • Brought HTML standards up to date, focusing on creating standards-compliant and accessible web sites
  • Developed multiple “plug and play” interface tools to reduce development time and improve margins including XML-driven flash slideshow, DOM-based CSS/Javascript drop down menus and XML-based Flash Navigation
  • Composed new company graphic standards document to bring in-house design back on-brand.
  • Managed redesign of 200+ page website for large non-profit, including taking designs by outside firm and templatizing them to work with dotnetnuke CMS. Client and designers extremely pleased with process and end product.
  • Extensively used asp.net tag libraries and controls for display layer development. Took back-end business objects with little documentation and successfully integrated with html and flash front-ends. No previous experience with ASP.net or tag-based template scripting.

Freelance PHP Developer 2004

Nelsen Funeral Home Richmond, VA

Created custom php application to replace on-line obituary service. System allowed posting obituaries and allowed family members to post on-line condolences. Tool exceeded client expectations. Client then chose me to develop a system the replicated other online services allowing user profile management with simple funeral pre-planning tools. Later developed a community calender system with user registration and administration.

Created simple PHP 5 content management system for restaurant website. Currently developing CMS system as an open-source restaurant CMS.
